Summary:
Phil (Bill
Murray), a weatherman, is out to cover the annual emergence of the groundhog
from its hole. He gets caught in a blizzard that he didn't predict and finds
himself trapped in a time warp. He is doomed to relive the same day over and
over again until he gets it right.
Review:
I wasn’t
into this film until a good chunk of the way in. Bill Murray’s character is,
well, an asshole. So, it was hard to feel any likeness towards him. It got
funnier as it went on however, and eventually the reason why Groundhog Day is
the success it has been became apparent.
The story
has some memorable characters, develops a timeless story that’s charming and family
friendly. One you will keep going back to as time goes on.
